Charles Albert Szukalski was born on April 4th 1945 in Furth im Wald (D). As a young man he moved to Antwerp (B) where he studied at the Art Academy.

A day at Middelheim in Antwerp was interesting, the temperature was so good that for a minute I thought it was spring. For the first time I was exposed to the work of contemporary artist Paul McCarthy. (USA 1945). The exhibition is called AIR BORN. Although it might so at first sight, it is not McCarthy’s main concern to break down taboos.This was what McCarthy exposed , a bit controversial…..
