Water…Loose

Loosing a game in Waterloo against ES Uccle under these conditions is not a shame however the MOL Blacks were not the same all-singing, all-dancing stage performers like in previous matches.
For sure, a first half converted try would have swung it our way but quite where that score was coming from is beyond me. Yes, twice we came within a fingertip of changing the course of the game but in all honesty both cuts represented moments of individual inspiration and had little relevance to the shape or trend of the game.
‘In the end, we got what we deserved, which was nothing’, said Bjorn Van Der Kammen captain of ES MOL.
‘The next games must be about player development, teamwork and not personal survival’, said coach Bevan.
Two thirds of the game was spent on MOL’s half which is reflective to the game’s overall trend. We weren’t beaten in every facet but we appeared to be what we are, a team in transition and one in need of injection by way of any available new blood.
Alex Povel who didn’t play as he was recovering from a handinjury said: ’although I’m disappointed it is still possible for The MOL Blacks to qualify for the Flemmish championships as long as the Team remains united under the leadership of coach Bevan’.
